Top 10 TV Shows of All Time

Now that I have finished ranking my favorite ice cream flavors, its time to move onto something else. There are many other things I would like to countdown, and for today I decided on doing my top ten tv shows of all time.

10. Hell's Kitchen: The first of two Reality shows on the list. The highlight of the show of course is Chef Ramsey's temper. Another fun part of the show, at least for me, is seeing the huge egos of these chefs that for some reason seem to come with the territory of the profession, then seeing them hilariously humbled by Ramsey. The show does sometimes seem contrived, but still entertaining nonetheless.

9. Goosebumps: I just got finished rewatching the entire series for the first time since I was a kid a couple months ago, and although most of the episodes are hilariously corny and cheesy now, there are still a few that stick out as great and creepy, especially for a kids show. When fall rolls around in a few months, I will probably watch the series again.

8. The Apprentice: The other reality show on this list, and the one that made Donald Trump a tv star. The show was better when it wasnt the Celebrity Apprentice and actually used people fighting for jobs. I have come to enjoy the Celebrity aspect of the show however, if only because the personalities are bigger than when the show would use regular people.

7. Malcolm in the Middle: One of my absolute favorite show as a teenager, another series that I just finished watching in its entirety a few months ago for the first time in a few years. A show that, along with Married with Children, began the dysfunctional family comedy after clean shows like the Brady Bunch and Cosby Show. What made the show great was the ensemble cast, to the point where the title character was possibly the least interesting. The clueless dad, gifted eccentric Dewey, the bitch mother and her even bigger bitch of a mother. This show also introduced Bryan Cranston, an actor made extremely famous by a show later in the countdown.

6. The Walking Dead: The most watched TV show of all time, currently midway through its fourth season. Maybe it will move up, but through 44 episodes, the reason its not in the top five is because about 15 of those episodes are painfully boring. The other 30 or so however, are high adrenaline entertainment about what life would be like if there actually was a zombie apocalypse.

5. Family Guy: Throughout middle and early high school, I didnt want to be known as a person who liked "stupid" comedy, so I tried my best to not like Family Guy, but I eventually gave in and fell in love. The show is stolen in my opinion, by Peter and his stupidity, but what makes this show so unique is the hiilarious qualities of the shows minor characters, such as Mayor West, Quaqmire, ad Herbert.

4. Impractical Jokers: I guess this could be considered a reality show, but I just find it to be pure comedy. I have never laughed so hard in my life watching a TV show. What makes the show so perfect is each joke has three seperate layers of comedy. First comes the pained look on the Jokers face once they realize what they have to say/do, then there's the part where they actually say or do the outrageous thing to the unsuspecting stranger. Finally, and possibly most funny, is the genuine shocked reactions from those strangers.

3. Seinfeld: The show about nothing and the first "adult" show I ever fell in love with. There's really not much to be said here, this show is just perfect comedy. Where the genius lies is the writers ability to turn outrageous, outlandish situations perfectly seem normal and mundane. Also the revolving door of boyfriends and girlfriends that each have their own strange qualities such as the "low talker."

2. Breaking Bad: Considered by many to be the greatest show of all time, the show about an innocent chemistry teachers slow descent into moral waywardness after being diagnosed with cancer and becoming a drug dealer, deemed a modern western. I was a little apprehensive to start watching this show, but once I did, instant addiction. Never before has a show made my adrenaline run, put me on the edge of my seat, and just riveted me as much as this show has. A show that rightfully claims to be the greatest of all time, but short of of my top spot.

1. The Office: Two words, One man: Michael Scott. The greatest TV character of all time. He always delivers in putting me in a good mood after a rough day. Thats what she said.

Ranking Ben and Jerrys flavors #5-1

The cream of the crop, best of the best. The mount rushmore of Ben and Jerrys flavors. I would eat these everyday if I could. Any fan of ice cream needs to try these five flavors.

5. Pumpkin Cheesecake: The best cheesecake flavor from Ben and Jerrys, but unfortunately a flavor thats only available two months of the year. I previously talked about cheesecake flavors that had to much graham cracker, and ones that had to little, well this one gets it just right. The flavor doesnt have any mix ins or anything crazy, its just pumpkin ice cream with graham crackers. Normally a flavor that would be called to subtle for me, but this is perfection.
4. Key Lime Pie: Another flavor that unfortunately is only available part of the year, this one during the summer months. And unlike Pumpkin cheesecake which comes out every fall, this one only comes out every other summer, taking turns with Pina Colada. Lime ice cream with pie crust pieces, a lime swirl, and a meringue swirl. A busy flavor that puts it all together to create something special. The pie crust pieces add a perfect texture and nice taste. The meringue swirl adds a delicious whipped cream like taste, and the lime swirl adds a perfect tanginess to offset the meringue swirl. Pure deliciousness, I cant wait for summer to come back.
3. What A Cluster: For peanut butter lovers. Peanut butter ice cream with Peanut butter swirls, marshmallow swirls, and peanut butter cluster pieces. The Marshmallow and peanut butter together is a beautiful combination, but the cluster pieces steal the show. These candy pieces filled with a peanut butter like substance are delicious whenever you come across them.

Slight pause: As amazing as those previously three flavors are, there is absolutely no dispute about the top two. There is a big gap between 3 and 2, but the top two are pretty interchangeable. These two are pure heaven.

2. Candy Bar Pie: This is a flavor that unfortunately is not available in pints, only in scoop shops. So whenever I want it, I have to go down to the scoop shop at Universal Studios to get it. The problem is whenever I would go to the scoop shop I would get my number one flavor, so it took me awhile before I decided to try it. Once I did however, I was instantly addicted. During Halloween Horror Nights last year I went to have a scoop of this flavor almost nightly. It is Peanut butter ice cream with nougat swirls, pretzel swirls, and fudge flakes. The real star is the pretzel swirls. Salty swirls combined with peanut butter ice cream is amazing. Add fudge flakes to that its even more amazing. Add a unique nougat swirl and now my mind is racing thinking about how I need to go to universal now to get me a scoop of this flavor immediately. Just looking at these pictures makes me crave it immediately.

1. Milk and Cookies: One of the very first Ben and Jerrys flavors I have ever tried. It was instantly my favorite and it hasnt lost its luster since. The base flavor is just vanilla, nothing special. But the flavor together is vanilla ice cream with chocolate cookies and chocolate chocolate cookies. Not cookie dough, cookies. This one was a game changer. Many ice creams try to incorporate cookie dough, but already baked cookies? it had never been done. Well now it has and the results are stunning. I dont even like cookie dough ice creams anymore after having the result of having actual cookies in the ice cream. Its actually a pretty simple flavor, no crazy swirls or anything, just cookies and vanilla ice cream. And it is decadent.

Ranking Ben and Jerrys Flavors #10-6

Here we go, the top ten. Needless to say, these are amazing flavors that I routinely buy when I can.

10. Red Velvet Cake: Based off the popular cake flavor, this is red velvet cake batter ice cream, with red velvet cake pieces and a cream cheese swirl. The red velvet ice cream tastes incredible, one of the best, most unique base flavors of ice cream I have ever had. The cake pieces dont add a ton of taste, but add a perfect chewy texture to the ice cream base. The wild card is the cream cheese swirl. its too subtle, if it were just a little more prevalent, this would be a top 5 flavor easily.
9. Phish Food: This is one of those chocolate rich flavors I did not think I would enjoy, but I was very wrong. Chocolate ice cream with fudge fish pieces, a marshmallow swirl, and a caramel swirl. A busy flavor that all comes together to create something special. Caramel, marshmallow and chocolate in one pint is a great and unique combo, and the fish shaped fudge pieces are a fun addition, and adds a hard mix in to offset all the swirls.

8. Cinnamon Buns: Cinnamon ice cream with a cinnamon swirl and cinnamon bun dough pieces. The swirl tastes perfect and the cinnamon dough is incredible as well. The only thing that sets this farther back than the 7 ahead of it is that cinnamon just isnt my favorite flavor when it comes to ice cream.
7. Chocolate Peppermint Crunch: A new flavor for 2013, chocolate ice cream with chocolate covered wafer cookies, a fudge swirl, and a peppermint swirl. The wafer cookies are amazing, like mini kit kats inside of ice cream. The fudge swirls dont add a whole lot, but the peppermint swirl sure does. Minty ice cream with mini kit kats? yes please.
6. Peanut Butter Jam session: Another new 2013 flavor, this one replaces Berry Voluntary seen previously in the countdown. Weve seen Snickers, Reeses, Cinnamon Buns, and other in ice cream form. This one is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in ice cream form. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Peanut butter ice cream with Peanut butter swirls and raspberry swirls. The only gripe is the raspberry swirls are too subtle. If they were more prevalent, this would be a top 3 flavor.

Ranking Ben and Jerrys flavors 15-11

Now we are really getting into the good stuff. Starting with number 15 all these flavors are grade A flavors, and all of them I would welcome in my freezer anytime.

15. Chocolate Therapy: I am not a big fan of chocolate ice cream, so a flavor completely dedicated to it is one I did not think I would enjoy, and almost didnt even give it a chance. Im glad I did, as this flavor is so much better than I anticipated. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie pieces and chocolate pudding swirls. The cookie pieces are great but the pudding swirl is what made this flavor for me. It added a soft contrasting texture to the ice cream that made it stand out as more than just plain chocolate ice cream.
14. Peanut Butter World: Earlier we had Nutty Caramel Swirl that I said was Snickers in ice cream form. Well this flavor is like Reeses in ice cream form. Milk Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls and chocolate cookie pieces. Unfortunately the cookie pieces dont add much as it is very subtle compared to other flavors that incorporate them. The peanut butter combined with milk chocolate however is divine, if only the cookies fit in better this would be a top ten flavor easily.
13. Cotton Candy: An exclusive flavor found only at wal mart this flavor is cotton candy ice cream with candy sprinkles. The cotton candy flavor is perfectly subtle, not to in your face which can certainly happen for a cotton candy flavor. The candy sprinkles steal the show as they provide a crunchy texture, perfect for a candy flavor like cotton candy.
12. Scotchy Scotch Scotch: A current limited batch flavor, I certainly plan on stocking up on more if this delicious flavor before it goes away. Caramel ice cream with butterscotch swirls. This is basically like eating werthers butterscotch candies inside of ice cream, which is just as delicious as it sounds. I was expecting a soft swirl of butterscotch, but these were crunchy swirls just like the candy, making it even better in my opinion.
11. Brownie Chew Gooder: This is the first flavor I would classify as A+, so now we are entering the truly elite flavors. Vanilla caramel ice cream with brownies and a caramel swirl. I will tell you the combination of brownies and caramel is stunningly delicious, I cant believe more people dont go for this combination. Unfortunately this flavor has been discontinued, replaced by underwhelming Rockin' Blondies which we saw earlier in the countdown.

Ranking Ben and Jerrys Flavors 20-16

Well we have finally made it to the top half of the rankings, and now these flavors are starting to get really good.

20. Liz Lemon: The second of three frozen yogurt flavors on this countdown, this is simply lemon ice cream (frozen yogurt) with a lavender swirl. The lavender swirl really doesnt add any taste, so its really just lemon ice cream, which would normally lead to a low ranking due to blandness, but this lemon flavor is delicious. It reminded me of frozen lemonade, and it is quite impressive for such a simple flavor to get this high in the rankings.
19. Strawberry shortcake: The third and final frozen yogurt flavor. Strawberry ice cream with shortcake cookie pieces. The cookie pieces are perfect, in size, texture, and taste. This is the only flavor where I added something myself, and I threw graham crackers into this and it made it unbelievably good. Unfortunately the graham cracker part doesnt contribute to these rankings since its technically not part of the flavor.
18. Nutty Caramel Swirl: An exclusive flavor only available at 7-11. This is a very busy flavor chock full of mix ins. Nougat ice cream with peanuts, fudge flakes and a caramel swirl. I am on the record as saying I dont like nuts or fudge flakes in my ice cream, but in this flavor together with caramel and nougat ice cream. Why? Because these are all the ingredients of a Snickers, which is what this flavor basically is, Snickers in ice cream form. Sound amazing? it is. The only problem is the caramel swirl is really subtle, if it were a little more bold this could have been a top ten flavor. The peanuts are also unsalted, if they were salted we may be talking top five.
17. Half Baked: Now were really getting into the good stuff as this is the first flavor that is part of my "rotation" as in flavors I buy regularly while all the previous flavors I have only bought once. This is a mix of chocolate and vanilla ice cream with brownie and cookie dough. Really good, just a little to straight forward to be ranked higher.
16. Berry Voluntary: Sadly, this flavor has been discontinued, but the flavor that replaced it is even better as we'll see it later in this countdown. Raspberry cheesecake ice cream, with a rasperry swirl and white chocolate chunks. The swirl and ice cream flavor sync perfectly together and the white chocolate is a unique mix in, its the only flavor on this countdown that has it. White chocolate isnt as good as regular, but it worked perfectly for this delicious, sadly extinct flavor.

Ranking Ben and Jerrys flavors 25-21

With this we will round out the bottom half of my rankings and move into the top half next time.

25. Americone Dream: This flavor inspired by Stephen Colbert was much better than I anticipated. Vanilla Ice Cream with a Caramel Swirl and fudge covered waffle cone pieces. The Caramel Swirl pushes this one higher as it was delicious, as are all the Ben and Jerrys Flavors that incorporate a caramel Swirl. I am not a fan of waffle cones at all so I thought Id hate this one but the fudge coating made me enjoy it enough to push it this high in the ranking.

24. Mint Chocolate Cookie: Mint chocolate chip is probably my favorite "classic" ice cream flavor. Unfortunately Ben and Jerrys doesnt offer it, instead incorporating cookie instead of chocolate chips. The cookies are pretty good, but the mint flavor is way to subtle, and part of the fun of mint flavors is the green color, which this flavor lacks.
23. Cake Batter: I really wanted this flavor to be amazing, but all it is is cake batter ice cream with chocolate icing swirl. The batter flavor was too subtle, and I would have preffered vanilla icing swirl and/or cake pieces within the ice cream. One of those two things would have improved this flavor significantally.
22. Strawberry Cheesecake: The third of four cheesecake flavors, only one left now. The Graham cracker swirl in this one is actually too potent, the exact opposite of my gripe from the Blueberry cheesecake flavor. Somewhere in the middle between those two would be optimal, and the number one cheesecake flavor on this countdown does that. The strawberry flavor is great, but the actual strawberry pieces are hard to eat frozen, like nearly impossible, ruining it a bit.
21. Rockin Blondies: A new flavor for 2013, vanilla ice cream with blondie brownies and toffee pieces. This flavor replaces one of my favorites, coming up later in the countdown, and it was comparably disappointing. Blondie brownies are pretty bland when incorporated in ice cream, and the toffee pieces are way to subtle compared to another flavor that incorporates them coming up later on the countdown.

Ranking Ben and Jerry's flavors 30-26

We are still in the bottom half of the flavors, but they are getting better. Here are flavors 30-26 of the 40 Ben and Jerrys Flavors Ive tried.

30. Blueberry Vanilla Graham: Technically this isn't ice cream, its one of Ben and Jerrys flavors in their new frozen yogurt line, the first of three frozen yogurt flavors on this countdown, and therefore my least favorite. The vanilla tastes just like a vanilla yogurt, which is a little to tart for me, ad the blueberry tastes good, but where this flavor falls short is the lack of graham cracker. More graham cracker would have propelled this flavor way higher in the rankings.

29. Chunky Monkey: Banana ice cream with fudge chunks and walnuts. One of ben and Jerrys top selling flavors, falls into the too bland category for me. While the Banana flavor ice cream is delicious, Im not a huge fan of fudge chunks, and really not a fan of any kind of nuts in my ice cream.

28. Chocolate Nougat Crunch: Sweet cream ice cream with a nougat swirl fudge covered wafer cookies. at first taste I found this flavor amazing, but after that it was a let down. the sweet cream ice cream flavor became increasingly unbearably sweet and the wafer cookies were dissapointing, as I was anticipating a kit kat like flavor, but didnt get it. The nougat swirl was great, but as well see later in the countdown, there a better flavor that incorporates it.

27. Cheesecake Brownie: Cheesecake ice cream with brownies. Sounds incredible right? well it was good, but it could have been so much better. The brownies are much smaller than the Brownies in other Ben and Jerrys flavors that feature them, and the lack of graham cracker that is in every other cheesecake flavor of Ben and Jerrys makes this all too bland. Good, but so much potential wasted.

26. Cherry Garcia: Ben and Jerrys #1 all time selling flavor ultimately is a little to bland for my ambitous tastes. Cherry Ice cream with fudge flakes and cherries. I love cherries, and these huge cherries in this flavor are amazing, but besides that its just cherry ice cream with some chocolate, not to exciting for me.
